WASTEWATER OPERATOR Opportunity for a highly motivated individual or firm that is a hardworking team player and dependable self-starter. Job includes maintaining a gravity wastewater collection system servicing approximately 925 connected units at Johnson Lake, Nebraska with 11 dual motor pump stations and a multi-cell lagoon treatment facility. Duties include but are not limited to responding to emergency calls 24/7/365; trimming grounds after mowing; trimming pump station and air valve areas; servicing portable generator, portable jetter, flush wagon and associated small equipment; creating a monthly flow report from SCADA system reports; annual servicing of the pump station motors, floats, valves and monitoring equipment; power washing wet wells; periodic flushing and jetting of the collection mains; maintaining spare parts inventory; arranging for the spraying and mowing of lagoon dikes; maintaining the facility operations center building; equalizing lagoon levels; inspecting property service connections to approve new installations and updating connection drawings; recording all maintenance work as performed and attending periodic district board meetings. Requires a Nebraska Motor Vehicle Operator's License and if not previously certified as a Nebraska Level L or higher wastewater operator, certification must be obtained within six months.
