SID levy drops almost 7 cents

JOHNSON LAKE — Johnson Lake property owners will see a drop in the sanitary improvement district levy.

Because of a 17.4 percent increase in the assessed valuation of lake properties, the levy for 2014 will drop

from 61.8 cents per $100 valuation to 55 cents. That works out to $550 for a home valued at $100,000.
