The board approved revisions to add $122,000 to the lake improvement fund, an amount of money allocated to projects at Johnson Lake and Lake McConaughy. The revisions, including unused funds from prior years and $29,000 from the 2013 budget allocation, will fund a grading project in preparation for the next segment of the hike/bike trail at Johnson Lake; asphalt paving for a segment of road at Johnson Lake’s Bullhead Point; and a covered picnic table and plaque at Kingsley Dam memorializing long-time Keith County News publisher Jack Pollock, and recognizing the efforts he and wife Beverly, former co-publisher of the News, made to promote Keith County and the Lake McConaughy area.

The budget revisions also added $53,600 for installation of two domestic wells to serve the Hilltop Inn and Central’s office at Kingsley Dam, as well as two District-owned houses south of the dam.

The directors accepted a bid from Paulsen, Inc., of Cozad for $171,910 for the Bullhead Point paving project. [Expressway from Dr 28 entrance off of Johnson Lake Drive to Medo's Resort area, lakeside]
