ASSESSMENT APPEAL CASES DISMISSED!

All cases challenging the appeal of the SID's assessments to the lot holders at Johnson Lake have been dismissed upon the request of the Plantiffs (appealing parties).

The SID via the SID's lawyers of Dave Skalka and Robert Huck of the Omaha Croker, Huck Law Firm were advised last Thursday, March 18th, that Jody Gittins, Assistant Attorney General and Attorney for the State of Nebraska Game and Parks Commission had filed a Motion to Dismiss their action with regards to the Assessment levied for the NG&PC. Judge Doyle, signed an Order Granting the Motion to Dismiss this case on the 22nd of March. This case was scheduled to be tried on the 3rd of June in the Lexington District Court Chambers as a Gosper County District Court Case.

Today, March 26th, notice was received from Lincoln Attorney, Terry Barber that a Motion to Dismiss was filed on behalf of Petitioners Karen Brown; Connie Joy Van Wie; Graupner, Sands & Barber, Partnership; GF&B Family LLC; Ralph D and Lois M Niemoth; Glen and Teresa J Lanman; Gary R Neff; and Douglas and LuAnn Everson with the District Court in Dawson and Gosper Counties. An Order granting the Dismissal was signed and filed by Judge Doyle shortly before Noon today, the 26th of March. This case was scheduled for trial next Tuesday, the 30th of March in the Lexington District Court Chambers.

Neither party gave any reasons for their requests.
