Central's Project Tours for Lake Residents Scheduled for Three Dates

Central is again offering tours of its project this summer for Johnson Lake and Plum Creek Canyon residents. Stops on the tour include the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Water Interpretive Center at Lake McConaughy; the Kingsley Hydroplant and lake control structures; the Nebraska Public Power District’s Paxton siphon and Sutherland Reservoir; and the Gothenburg Control Center.

Tours are scheduled on the following dates:

Fri., June 4 • Fri., June 18 • Fri., July 16

Each tour will depart from the Johnson Lake EMS building at 7:00 A.M. and return the same day by about 5:00 P.M. Central will provide transportation and lunch at Ole’s Big Game Steakhouse in Paxton.

Central looks forward to providing lake residents with the opportunity to become more familiar with the project’s operations and a better understanding of the challenges and issues Central faces.
