A CASA Country Christmas Concert

A CASA Country Christmas Concert, featuring Reggie Shaw will be held on December 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lexington Middle School (1100 N. Washington.) Free Will Donation to benefit Dawson/Gosper County CASA. Bring the kids as Santa will make an appearance and give out a special gift for the kids. Expect to be there for a couple of hours of pure live Country music and lots of fun with your friends at the CASA program.

Reggie began pursuing his career as a country singer after a near fatal accident in 1990. Reggie had a dream of becoming a professional baseball player, but the accident severely damaged his right leg forcing Reggie to reach stardom through another avenue. Reggie moved to Nashville fresh out of High School and hit the ground running.

One of Reggie's recent project involved with Lexington native, Tom Mooberry, who wrote "Back To Nebraska" and "Big Red Saturday" plus six other songs and flew to Nashville to record the songs. This CD is dedicated to all the Nebraska troops.

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens as officers of the court. In an overburdened social welfare system, abused and neglected children often slip through the cracks among hundreds of current children. CASA volunteers change that. Appointed by judges, CASA volunteers typically handle just one case at a time-and commit to staying on that case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. While others may come and go, CASA volunteers provide that one constant that children need in order to thrive.
