LEXINGTON - Two lawsuits challenging costs assessed by the Johnson Lake Sewer Improvement District have been dismissed.

Friday, March 26, Dawson County District Judge James E. Doyle signed an order dismissing a long-standing suit brought by several individual property owners.

The second lawsuit dismissed had been brought by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. A request for dismissal of the lawsuit was filed by Assistant Nebraska Attorney General Jody Gittins.

The Games and Parks dismissal was requested March 18 and was granted March 22. The case was scheduled for trial June 3.

Neither party gave reasons for their actions.
