Weeknight Garlic Chipotle Burgers
What you need:
- 1 to 2 lb. ground chuck (80/20)
- Southwest Chipotle seasoning or something similar
- Garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- Chipotle or pepperjack cheese
- Good quality hamburger buns, toasted
- Chipotle mayo
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Red Onion, sliced
- Pickles
Directions:
- Form ground chuck into 6 patties and season with chipotle seasoning and garlic powder.
- Heat a large skillet or cast iron over medium-high heat. Add butter and coat the pan while it melts.
- Add patties (you may have to do 2 batches) and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping once. Don't squish them with the spatula.
- Top with cheese and let melt.
- Serve on toasted buns with mayonnaise on top and bottom, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onion.
