Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Skillet

What you need:

    • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
    • 1 large yellow onion, diced
    • 2 Tbsp. minced garlic
    • 1 can Italian-seasoned diced tomatoes
    • 2 cups chicken broth
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 small cabbage, chopped
    • Italian seasoning to taste
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 cup instant brown rice

Directions:

    1. In a deep skillet, brown beef/turkey. Add onion, garlic, tomatoes, chicken broth, water, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
    2. When onion is softened, add chopped cabbage. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
    3. Add rice to skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes covered. Then remove from heat and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
