Blackberry Chocolate Chip Muffins

What you need:

    • 1 1/2 cups flour
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 cup oats (I used old-fashioned)
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 3 Tbsp. Carnation Malted Milk
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 carton blackberries
    • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Directions:

    1. Whisk together malted milk, heavy cream, and milk. Stir in oats and soak for 15 minutes.
    2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    3. In a medium bowl, mix together melted butter, egg, vanilla, and milk and oat mixture.
    4. Pour milk mixture into flour mixture and stir gently until combined.
    5. Stir in chocolate chips and then gently fold in blackberries.
    6. Scoop batter into a muffin tin that has been lined with paper liners.
    7. Bake at 375* for 12 to 14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean.
    8. Cool in pan for 5 to 10 minutes and then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling.
