Faux Baked Roasted Garlic & Tomato Spaghetti
What you need:
- 1 pint grape tomatoes
- Fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 jar RAGÚ Homestyle Thick and Hearty Roasted Garlic pasta sauce
- 1 lb. thin spaghetti
- 2 Tbsp. salted butter
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat, crumbling as it cooks.
- Meanwhile, halve the grape tomatoes lengthwise. Sprinkle with basil, salt, and pepper, and toss with a drizzle of olive oil.
- Place tomatoes on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet and roast in a preheated 425 degree oven until they burst.
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and toss with butter.
- Once ground beef is cooked through, drain if needed, and then add RAGÚ.
- Simmer ground beef with RAGÚ while pasta cooks and tomatoes finish roasting.
- Stir in roasted tomatoes and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
- Place cooked pasta in a greased casserole dish and top with meat mixture.
- Top the meat mixture with shredded mozzarella cheese to your liking.
- Place casserole dish under the broiler under low until the cheese is browned and bubbly.
