Tostada Pizza
What you need:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 can (4 oz.) diced green chillies, drained
- 2 Tbsp. taco seasoning mix (half a packet)
- 1 to 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 recipe pizza dough
- 1 can (15 oz.) refried beans
- 1+ cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (or a mix)
- 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
Directions:
- In a large skillet, brown and crumble ground beef until no pink remains. Drain, if needed.
- Stir in water, chillies, tomatoes, taco seasoning, and chili powder. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, roll out your pizza dough and place on a pan (I like to dust mine with cornmeal). Bake in a preheated-400 degree oven for about 8 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spread refried beans on top, then add your seasoned beef. Top with cheese.
- Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes until the edges of the crust are golden brown.
- Top with chopped cilantro.
