Chapter II

2:1And the King spoke, “The daughter of the man of stone, Cecht, must pay the price of the son of Gaal. Take from her the piece of cloth that was shorn from the great flag of power that once flew above the city in Paradise.”

2:2And Gaal took his halberd, and met Cecht in the city she built.

2:3And Cecht did cause a great many of the whole servants of Blessed Ones to fall dead.

2:4And Gaal was wroth and smote her with his halberd, and she was dead with a single stroke

2:5But Gaal did not find the piece of cloth, for it had long been in mortal hands.
