Inspiration from Celeste!
After we visited Celeste's classroom and watched her poetry lesson, we were inspired to try it in our classroom! We purchased the mentor text that she utilized and used it with our students. We integrated play and paper choice for the students, allowing them to write poems about topics of their choosing and use a variety of structures to support their drawings.
