This school year, I’ve spent a great deal of time reflecting on the role of play in the classroom, and I’ve come to deeply value its impact on student engagement and learning. Through my participation in the STI course, I’ve gained insight into how purposeful play can support a wide range of learning styles and help meet the diverse needs of students, especially those with attention challenges. Play has proven to be not only engaging, but also a powerful tool for building social skills, fostering creativity, and encouraging meaningful exploration. As I transition into teaching in an ICT classroom next year, I am committed to continuing and expanding the use of play-based learning. I believe it will be essential in creating an inclusive, motivating, and dynamic environment where all students can thrive.
