Creative - making paper plate dinosaur face masks

Learning Objective:

To use my imagination to create a dinosaur mask based on my past learning

You will need:

  • Paper plates / cardboard

  • Paper

  • Scissors

  • Pens, pencils or paint

  • Glu

Learning activity:

This activity can be catered to what you have lying around the house. Challenge your child to work on their fine motor skills by cutting coloured paper and sticking it on the plate to create a dinosaur face. You can use various materials to create the faces by using felt tips, pencils, pens, paint, glue, glitter, paper etc. This activity can be created with just the basics, or with an assortment of materials if you choose. Your child will have the freedom to create whichever dinosaur they wish, in any way they choose. Use a lolly stick / string / elastic band etc to help your child use their mask.

Other ideas:

  • Make a mask of your favourite animal / character / a family members

Animal Boogie

Do you remember who was swinging through the trees or learning how to leap? Can you copy the movement of the different animals?

Have a lovely day Giraffes - I can't wait to see all the amazing masks I know that you are working to create :-)

Did any of you make a giraffe mask?
