What are you thankful for?

morning register

Do the morning register - look at what day it is and and practise writing your name.

Do you remember the writing phrase for today's sound? Can you practise writing it whilst saying the writing phrase?

Todays writing phrase is; Slither down the snake.

You can either ask mum or dad to print a copy for you to write on, or you can make your own register to use at home.

2D Shape Oat Cookies

What you need:

  • 50g ready to eat dried apricots

  • 50g light brown sugar

  • 2tbsp condensed milk

  • 50g rolled oats

  • 85g self-raising flour

  • Using children's scissors, cut the apricots into small pieces.

  • Add the condensed milk , beat well then add the oats and apricots and mix well again.

  • Add the flour and mix until it starts to disappear - you can use your hands to mix it too.

  • Bring the dough together into one big ball then break into 6 equal sized lumps ( this ensures the cookies bake at the same time)

  • Roll each into a ball, then squash into the parchment with the palm of your hand to make the shape of your choice

  • Bake for 25-30 mins until golden on the edges. Leave to cool on the tray. The cookies will keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
