good morning giraffes
Here are two videos to start your day :-)
Being thankful
Gerald Giraffe is thankful that he can be creative …
What are you thankful for?
morning register
Do the morning register - look at what day it is and see if you can find your name and practise writing it.
You can either ask mum or dad to print a copy for you to write on, or you can make your own register to use at home.
morning fun
A cutting skills work sheet and a song to brighten your day
Story of the week
Today it is Ms Anna’s turn to read the story of The Enormous Turnip. Make sure you are sitting comfortably and get ready to listen to the story.

learning new skills
Over the last few weeks I have been practising my musical skills by practising playing my ukulele.
What skills have you been practising lately?
gross motor skills
Move on paper plates
Learning Objective:
To work to develop and strengthen gross motor skills and coordination.
You will need:
6 or more paper plates
paint / colouring pens
Learning Activity:
Move your body and get creative with some coloured paper plates.
Children can colour each plate by painting / drawing
Place them in a row (red, green, blue, yellow, red, green, blue, yellow)
Ask your child to step on just the red ones
Move like your favourite animals - get down on all fours and “skate” with a plate under each hand
Put the plates in a row and move around the room
Put the plates far apart for big steps. Or put them close together for tiny steps.
Step on the plates quietly / softly / loudly / heavily
Other ideas:
Add numbers to the coloured plates to support counting skills. Step on number 5 / 6 / 4
Add music to the activity. Ie, when the music stops stand on number 5….
some extra fun ;-)
Banana sushi
Banana Sushi is a fun way to get kids involved in making their own healthy snack. Simply peel a banana, add your favourite toppings and then cut into bite sized pieces!
