  • Other sensory resources to practice writing the letters such as shaving foam, sand in a baking tray, flour in a baking tray

Math

Learning Objective: To recognize and identify most common 2D shapes

You will need:

A variety of 2D shapes found in your house, such as;

rectangle / circle / square / oval / triangle

Learning activity:

  • Go on a shape hunt in your house with your child. How many different shapes can you find? Can you name all the different shapes.

Other ideas:

  • Make a telle sheet where you encourage your child to copy the different shapes. Make a tick / mark for every time you find the matching shape in your house

  • Make different shapes on the floor / wall using tape / string etc

  • Fold a paper circle / triangle / square in half and see what shape you get
