Intermediate Panel:
As this year soon comes to a close, Longfields will welcome new incoming students entering grade 7 to our school for tours and presentations. This also means graduating grade 8 students will be getting a taste of secondary school before they start in September. Make sure to listen to announcements to hear those dates!

LDHSS Music
This month our music program was amazing! We had a total of 9 different ensembles from our school perform at the Kiwanis Music Festival at Ridgemont High School. All ensembles won either Gold or Silver ratings! This means that many of our bands will participate in Kiwanis Provincials.
LDH is also going to MusicFest Nationals! The national competition is being hosted in Toronto by the University of Toronto. We will have some seniors and juniors representing Longfields performing there!
Looking to next month, check out the finale of the LDH music season with a final end of year concert on May 29th. Stay tuned for more! Contact any of the music teachers for questions or concert information.

Clubs
Key Club: Spring Game Night
Key Club or Kiwanis Empowering Youth Club at LDH hosted a fun spring-themed game night on April 17th. Students played board games, card games, Wii, and other fun activities to win tickets.
Tickets could be redeemed for prizes and snacks like bracelets, popcorn, and cookies. The event would not have been possible without the help of Key Club members and dedicated volunteers.
If you would like to learn more about Key Club, volunteering, or participate in events check out @keyclub.ldhss on Instagram.
