On September 29, 2023, at 11:45 AM, the Clarionette held its first General Assembly for the school year 2023-2024 at the Audio Visual Little Theatre.

The program was hosted by Adia Avendaño from 11 - St. Peter Faber and Joshua Shimizu from 12 - St. Benedict of Nursia. The editorial board and all staffers were in attendance, as well as guest speaker Ms. Stefanie Ann Santilla, an MCS alumna and the former Editor-in-Chief of the Clarionette.

Before the program, the registration and attendance were managed by Aira Lao, the Managing Editor, from 11 - St. Albert the Great.

Mr. Palado, the Clarionette's technical adviser, gave his opening remarks, discussing the nature of school journalism. This was followed by the introduction of the editorial board. The staffers from each department were also introduced by this year's Editor-in-Chief, Claire Ferrer, from 12 - St. Isidore the Labourer.

Aurora Madali, this year's Sports Editor, from 12 - St. Benedict of Nursia facilitated the icebreaker, which staffers were encouraged to take part in. Shortly after, Aira Lao introduced the guest speaker, Ms. Stefanie Ann Santilla, for her talk.

The talk discussed Ms. Santilla's past experiences and contributions to the Clarionette, her previous role as the online editor of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM)—her current university, her current role as the managing editor, and different tips on how to write articles.

After the talk, Ria Malabanan—Associate Editor—from 12 - St. Augustine of Hippo awarded her the certificate of appreciation which was followed by a photo opportunity taken by Adam Saylon, the Photojournalism Head, from 12 - St. Benedict of Nursia.

To end the program, Claire Ferrer gave her closing remarks, emphasizing how the Clarionette isn’t just an organization, but rather an experience, in which the journey can develop and nurture one’s skills and knowledge. The closing prayer was led by Francheska Mercado from 10 - St. Agnes of Rome. The General Assembly ended with a photo opportunity of all the editors and staffers, along with the guest speaker.
