MCS CONDUCTS NOVENA MASSES FOR OUR LADY OF REMEDIES FEAST DAY

In commemoration of the Feast of Our Lady of Remedies, Malate Catholic School students and personnel attended Novena Masses from November 10 to November 17 held at the Malate Catholic Church.

Last week, from November 10, Friday, to November 17, Friday, consecutive Novena Masses were held at the Malate Catholic Church where Malateans attended per assembly as part of the nine-day spiritual preparation for the incoming Feast of Our Lady of Remedies. 


The Novena Masses started at exactly 8AM with Novena prayers recited in Tagalog by selected teachers. It is then followed by the usual Introductory Rites, Liturgy of the Word with the Gospel Reading, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and the Concluding Rites. After the mass, the Besa Manto, or the “Pagpapahalik sa Belo ni Maria [Kissing the Veil of Mary]” was also conducted.



The Novena Masses began with the Grade School department last November 10, Friday. Then the Grade 7 assembly last November 13, Monday. Followed by the Grade 8 assembly last November 14, Tuesday. 


It was then followed by the Grade 9 assembly last November 15, Wednesday and the Senior High School department last November 16, Thursday. The consecutive Novena Masses for Malateans ended with the Grade 10 assembly last November 17, Friday.


The Feast of Our Lady of Remedies will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023.
