MCS GLEE CLUB PERFORMS IN HARANA KAY MARIA 2023

Malate Catholic School's glee club has graced the annual Harana Kay Maria benefit concert together with several choirs and singers from different schools, parishes, and institutions at Our Lady of Remedies Parish Church.

On November 11, 2023, Saturday at 7:30 PM, the MCS Glee Club joined the Harana kay Maria benefit concert at the Our Lady of Remedies Parish Church. The choir was conducted by its moderator, Mr. Ringo Dabu. This was to commemorate Our Lady of Remedies (OLR), MCS’ parochial church, on its forthcoming fiesta. 


With the theme of "Maria, Kalakbay at Gabay sa Pagtataguyod ng Isang Matatag na Komunidad ng Pananampalataya," Fr. Andrei O. Paz, SSC, acting parish priest, started off the event with his opening remarks, expressing appreciation to everyone who devoted themselves to attain a closer relationship with Mary.


As support for the Parish Educational Assistance Program (PEAP), choirs and performers, including Malate Catholic Church (MCC) Priests and OLR Parish Choir, exhibited their talents and adoration by singing songs devoted to Mother Mary

In a six-and-a-half-minute performance, the MCS Glee Club serenades the crowd with two songs entitled “Remember, O Mary Immaculate” and “Panunumpa”. Performers also included in the event were the UP Manila Chorale, St. Paul University Manila Chorale, Columban Seminarians, Maestro Dino Decena & Jascha Obieta Decena, and The Philippines' Ethereal Diva, Ms. Laarni Lozada. 


Nearing the end of the celebration, the conductors and coordinators of each choir were awarded with a Plaque and Garland award. Following this, was the acknowledgment of sponsors and committees. The closing remarks were made by Atty. Marge Conde, Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) Coordinator, thanking everyone who made the celebration possible. 


In the grand chorale, all choirs and performers joined on stage to sing the closing songs "You Are Mine" and “Awit sa Virgen delos Remedios”. The event ended at around 10:45 PM.
