Malate Catholic School held the annual Living Rosary program in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the saints from different continents on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 8:30 AM at the Jaime Cardinal Sin Gymnasium.

The Living Rosary was composed of two parts: The Parade of Saints and The Praying of the Holy Rosary.

The Parade of Saints showcased selected students dressed as different saints from the continents of America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, and the retelling of their lives and their act of faith.

MCS welcomed the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Lady of the Most Holy Rosary (Our Lady of Manaoag) prior to the praying of the Rosary led by the Lectors and Commentators Guild. The Parent-Teachers Advisory Council (PTAC) officers, various personnel, teachers, and the students who are dressed as saints, represented the beads of the Rosary. Each decade of the Rosary were offered to pray for a certain continent.

The image of the Blessed Virgin Mary was crowned as a part of the tradition during this culminating activity. Following this, grade 3 students performed an action song of “Tell The World Of His Love,” in which everyone was encouraged to participate and join.

The MCS Band also took part in the event by playing their renditions of Marian songs in between mysteries.

The event ended with the people who represented each bead of the Rosary bringing the offerings from all grade levels to the stage.
