Last December 7, 2023, Thursday, Malate Catholic School celebrated the start of Advent season through their Morning Praise in the school's quadrangle.

The Morning Praise started at 7:00 AM, the Advent Wreath sitting at the front of the Chapel. The purple candle, for the second week of advent, was lit by an Altar Boy which signified hope. Mr. Frankmar Cabeltis read the Gospel for the day and gave his own reflection, explaining the meaning of Christmas. He introduced the Advent Wreath to the students at the start of his reflection.

Mr. Cabeltis also explained each part of the Advent Wreath, including the candles and the wreath. He also emphasized the importance of the Advent Wreath as it serves as the countdown as they wait for the coming of Christ.

The Morning Praise ended and announcements were made before the students went upstairs to prepare for their Paskoro.
