THE AAMCSI HELD ITS SCHOLARS' GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND THANKSGIVING

The Alumni Association of Malate Catholic School Inc, (AAMCSI) prepared a meeting and thanksgiving for its old and new scholars as a new academic year begins. The meeting was also composed of the presentation of the new officers for the AAMCSI for the years 2023-2025.

The Alumni Association of Malate Catholic School Inc. (AAMCSI) and their scholars had their Scholar's General Meeting and Thanksgiving for the school year 2023-2024. It was held last August 19, 2023, at Malate Catholic School's Audio Visual Little Theater. 


The program started with registration and the attendance sheet handled by Ria Angelique E. Malabanan and John Axel M. Claridades, both Grade 12 students. The masters of ceremonies, Princess Jewel B. Recto and Cassandra Nicole J. Fang, both Grade 11 students asked two of the scholars to share their experiences for the first few weeks of classes. 


To formally open the meeting, the opening prayer was led by Ma. Althea Tirzah R. Ferrer, a Grade 12 student. After this, the new President of AAMCSI, Mr. Alford Rosen D. Seña of Batch 79, presented the past presidents of the association. This was shortly followed by the presentation of the AAMCSI Officers as well as the Board of Directors for 2023-2025. Mr. Seña gave his welcoming remarks to the scholars, he addressed the scholars that “The scholarship given to you is a privilege, this is not an entitlement”. He encouraged the scholars to do their best in their studies and said that “This is not for us but for you”.

The scholar's orientation was made by Atty. Marlon P. Gonzales, the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee and a past president of the AAMCSI. At the beginning of the orientation, he presented the scholarship committee. Following this was the discussion about the Scholarship Agreement of the AAMCSI. Additionally, he presented a table per assembly that includes a list of the 38 scholars who are currently enrolled for this academic year. He also presented a table on the list of sponsors and the number of their scholars. 


Shortly after, there was an introduction of each scholar per assembly, this was also followed by a photograph opportunity. Each scholar was given a gift filled with everyday essentials that they can use as students. Certificates of appreciation were also given to every sponsor to each batch’s representative. To end the program, a closing prayer was given by Andrew Miguel D. Natividad, a Grade 11 student. 


Before going home, another photo opportunity was done with the scholars and their respective sponsors. The AAMCSI also prepared snacks in the school canteen for the scholars, parents, and alumni.
