On September 8, 2023, at 8:00 AM, Malate Catholic School’s students and personnel conducted a prayer service celebrating the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The celebration was held in the Malate Catholic School Gymnasium. For the days leading up to the feast, the school prepared by doing triduum prayers as their morning praise.

The service began with the praying of the Holy Rosary, followed by the gospel reading of the gospel of Matthew and the reflection led by Ms. Consolacion Nadonga. During her reflection, Ms. Nadonga recounted Mary and Joseph’s engagement. She spoke about how Joseph experienced a similar burden to Mary, having to put faith in God as Mary did when she was told she would be the mother of Jesus.

Mr. Revilla and Mr. Eneran led the Prayers of the Faithful. Afterward, the school supply offerings for Tanglaw ng Kabataan were given by each grade representative. The students were instructed to bring school supplies as their donations before the start of the prayer service. Nearing the end, the school sang a happy birthday song for the Blessed Virgin Mary. The students went back to the campus after the prayer service.
