MALATE CATHOLIC SCHOOL HOLDS PARENTS' ORIENTATION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-2024

To establish a relationship and partnership between the parents and school, Malate Catholic School conducts a Parents’ Orientation.

On September 23, 2023, at 9:00 AM, the respective advisers of every class and the parents and guardians of the students of Malate Catholic School came together via Google Meet for the parents' orientation. The meeting was done in order to "establish and strengthen connections between school and parents," according to the letter sent by MCS.


During the first few minutes of the orientation, general information about MCS was discussed. It explained the MCS Vision, Mission, and School Identity as well as the school's core values of Faith, Excellence, and Service.

On to the more important details, the School Policies and Procedures that learners and parents must recognize for rational conduct were discussed. Each adviser explained numerous key points starting from the proper decorum, punctuality, and correct behavior. As an extension of this, the minor, major, and grave offenses were enumerated one-by-one as well as its consequences. The school fees and general academic policies were also introduced.


The grading system was also explained and the standards for each student were set. The Google Meet session comprises the Overview of the Curriculum and Extracurricular Activities and Programs as well. MCS assured the parents that they prioritize intellectual, social, and spiritual welfare by improving its community through these activities. The calendar of programs was also pinned.


The orientation ended with the Election or Appointment of Parent Officers for the Parent-Teacher Association and the Open Forum where parents were allowed to ask questions and raise their concerns. As soon as the inquiries were done, a closing prayer was held, and everyone bid farewell at around 11 AM.
