As you travel through the world, you will encounter examples of perfect arithmetic sequences. Simple Interest is one such example.
When we invest money in an account, we usually receive interest. When we borrow money then we usually pay interest, for example, taking out a loan to buy a car, or a mortgage to buy a house, or using a credit card and not paying the balance off in full each month. Simple interest is interest calculated only on the initial investment. Suppose $2000 is invested in an account paying simple interest at a rate of 5% per year. How much money will be in the account after 4 years?
