Emilia Gutu is currently a sophomore at David Douglas High School. This is her first year as a cub-reporter in the Journalism class, and she hopes to be the first of many. Emilia loves listening to music, playing piano, and taking pictures. She enjoys playing volleyball with her friends, but she doesn't mind some alone time herself. The alone time mostly consists of reading books while listening to Ludovico Einaudi and many other composers of classical music. Emilia loves to travel and she hopes one day to tour the whole world. She was born in a small country in Europe that goes by the name Moldova. Most of her family is scattered all over the world, but Moldova will always be a home to all of them. She came to the U.S. when she was nine years old and she is so grateful for the opportunities and blessings she's had over the past few years. Emilia is so excited to be part of this Journalism program and she's looking forward to see what awaits her.
