Due to low participation, the softball team is no longer participating in non-league or league games as of March 20.

Their first game was against Sherwood on March 16. They worked hard during the two-hour game, but sadly lost 24-0. The second game of the season was against Lake Oswego on March 18. They lost to the Lakers, also 24-0. The team was ready to improve at a March 21-22 tournament, but it was canceled after the team announced on March 20 that it was no longer going to participate in non-league or league games. Softball has made the decision to only practice the rest of the season, allowing the team to improve for next year.

All but five players are not only new to the team, but new to the sport. Most of the softball team has not played competitively since the pandemic started, meaning most of the players haven’t actually played softball in three years. Senior pitcher Sophia Bean has the most experience on the team with 13 years of softball under her belt.
