iPhone 13 Pro upgrade not worth price

The iPhone 13 Pro is better than the iPhone 12 Pro, but is it worth the upgrade? I think not.

To start off with the upgrades, the 13 Pro runs on a A15 bionic chipset, while the 12 Pro runs on the A14. The new Pro has an improved battery life, said to be 1.5 hours longer than the previous iPhone, and offers a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz . The new Pro also has an improved brightness of 1000 nits, compared to the 800 nits offered in the 12 Pro. Another difference is that 1TB of storage is offered in this year’ pro model. When looking at the cameras, all the iPhone in this year’s release have a f/2.4, whereas the 12 pro only has a f/1.8/.

Now, when looking at the two iPhones side by side, you probably won’t notice a difference. The designs are almost identical, with the iPhone 13 having a slightly larger camera bump and being thicker as to allow space for a larger battery. The chips are very similar to each other and both run on 5 nanometer technology. iPhone users won’t even notice the difference. Aside from the battery life increased and storage offered, there really isn’t that much of a difference between the two. And let’s be real. No one needs 1TB of storage if they’re upgrading their phone annually. This year’s launch was disappointing as many Apple fans expected better technology and design upgrades.

So, here’s my advice.

• Getting the regular iphone 13 is not worth it at all.

• Getting the 13 Pro is only worth it if you like to follow all the newest trends, don’t mind sending the money, or just want to change your plan with your carrier.

• It would be wise to wait for the iPhone 14 release next fall, which may actually have a completely new design and better upgrades.

I did purchase the iPhone 13 pro max, but only because my previous phone had a broken screen and I didn’t think it was worth it to change the screen.
