My narrative follows a young boy who struggles to fit in within his society. It is animated completely in a monochromatic scheme with the exception of the balloons that serve as a key motif in the film … I emphasise themes of isolation and searching for acceptance/family. Whilst the tone may begin pessimistic, the optimistic conclusion highlights that ‘we will all find our place with each other’.
