For me, my family has shaped the foundations of my life – my roots. The family members that surround me, inspire me to explore the rich traditions and heritage that are steeped within the lineage of both sides of my family, and are deeply embedded into me as an individual. It is through the manipulation of old family photographs, and the application of traditional materials and techniques, that I have been able to recognise, appreciate and express this connection to my heritage through my artwork.
