My Mum had recently recovered from an open-lung-and-heart surgery, so I wanted to give her this portrait as a present to show her how pretty she is. I believe that my Mum is one of the strongest people I know, as she has been through so much but never lets that stop her from being an amazing single mother to my brother and me. I used a black pencil and black paint.
