Acrylic on canvas. Yin portrays a nightscape of a dominant dark night-time with the inclusion of symbolic lanterns which lighten the sky and add an element of light and life to a negative and dark painting. I enhanced a typical natural scene by adding an emotional connection and a deeper link through symbolic colours and landmarks.

Yang. The connection between Yin and Yang encompasses a different landscape during the daytime, heavily focused on the ground filled with flora to communicate life. By presenting my artwork in the traditional manner of a hanging scroll, it encapsulates and embraces the traditional Asian culture that inspired it.
