A mother's love for her children is like the branches spreading on a tree. A tree protects, shelters, feeds and supports all of God's creatures. Like Mother, she loves, protects, supports, guides and teaches her children. Her love never stops growing when her children are growing up. The Heart of a mother beats for her children, like a tree protects her fruit to be given to God's creatures so they may return next season. The Cross represents a mother's Faith in God by nourishing her children with God's love for them has the tree does the same for God's creatures.
