The Year 2 students studied the Impressionist master, Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflower oil paintings. To create different marks for the sunflower foliage, students experimented with combs, palette knives and scrapers. The vase was created by discovering the line of symmetry, while they tried to master the delicateness of chalk shadow, and learnt about light sources and shadows.
