My artwork involves a surrealist landscape that incorporates contrasting themes and colours. The concept of combing ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ environments, one a watery sky scape high above and the barren terrain below. To make it more interesting, I wanted to incorporate feelings of apprehension and awe, resulting in the juxtaposition of the landscape with an ominous void that is slowly eating away at its sides, and threatening to consume the rest of the painting's world.
