Hanny drew a bear and painted it brown using acrylic paint. He created implied texture by adding short strokes to give the impression of fur. He pasted the bear to a background he had previously created giving the illusion of autumn by printing leaves onto paper. He used the double-loading technique to create the leaf prints.
