Acrylic paint and rocks on stretched canvas. This landscape captures the atmospheric lighting of a cool and misty morning, just before the sun breaks. The intention was to display the interaction of the first morning light with the still ocean water, alongside the soft and feathery clouds to enhance a sense of tranquility. The use of rocks collected from the local beach communicates my personal experience and connection with the ocean, and the atmospheric qualities of the peaceful, early morning experience.
