The medium used was acrylic paint on canvas. The piece, inspired by the theme of sacrifice in Da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’ explores the idea that sacrifice can contribute to, and enhance an individual’s sense of identity, their integrity and connections with others. This is displayed through the organic flows of colour creating movement and the feeling of relief, with the metallic gold symbolizing the acts meaningfulness and perceptions of prestige.
