This group display was created by first listening to music made by Indigenous Australians. The artists listened to both traditional and contemporary musicians and painted how the music made them feel. In the next lesson, the artists took pieces of card and built the shape of an animal that is special to them. They took a rubbing of their animal using oil pastel, and added detail to their rubbing with a 6B pencil. The artists made several cardboard rings and used them to attach their animal to the background paper, giving a 3D effect.
