Gear. A typical berserker will wear no armor (except trophies) and will be armed with a broad sword and hand axe (several hand axes). Some will also carry a spear. Berserkers do not use shields.
Fury. A berserker in melee (due to their rage) can either, gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls using a medium or larger weapon in two-hands or can choose to attack with two-weapons with no penalty for either attack.
Toughness. A berserker wearing no armor is AC 7 with no armor defense adjustments.
Larger numbers of berserkers will be led by berserker fighters (1st-5th) and large tribes will be led by a war chief (fighter or barbarian, 9th-10th) along with sub-chiefs (6th-8th). Most war bands are accompanied by a berserker cleric (3rd-7th) of some battle deity. All berserkers of any class or level have the abilities given above.
