Song. (major) Anyone within hearing distance of the wolfwere's song must make a save vs. Spell or be slowed (as per magically slowed, although the effect is not magical and cannot be dispelled) for 1d4+4 rounds (save negates); i.e. delayed, only half attacks, half movement, and opponents receive a +4 bonus on attack rolls against them.
Shape Change. (major) Wolfweres can change into other forms as an innate ability. Forms are human, bipedal wolf-man, and large wolf. This works like the shape change spell. The bipedal form can speak and cast spells (if a spell caster). Animal forms cannot speak or cast spells but may communicate with animals of their type and may use innate abilities. Unlike shape change, a wolfwere's gear does not transform. In bipedal form, it remains as worn, but in animal form, it will magically drop away. Lycanthropes affected by any polymorphing magic can always use their shape change ability to resume one of their standard forms.
Wolfweres can take the form of a humanoid male or female with high Charisma and Comeliness. Only one form can be taken and is unique to the creature.
The wolfwere usually changes into its humanoid form when it detects the approach of living creatures. It disguises itself as a merchant, minstrel, or similar humanoid in order to lure its prey in. Wolfweres can learn to play stringed musical instruments that help disguise the use of it's song ability. When ready to attack, the wolfwere changes shape into its hybrid form. It almost always assumes this shape when engaged in combat, as it gains the ability to use a weapon as well as its bite.
A wolfwere is typically (01-70) accompanied by a pack of loyal wolves (2d10; 01-30) or worgs (3d4; 31-00). Wolfweres despise werewolves.
