9. We will use a long list of adjectives for describing some animals who need help. Choose four adjectives for each of them and complete the following sentences:
We know that in English adjectives do not change when they refer to a male or to female, or when they describe one, two or more subjects (animals, people or objects).
But what happens when we need more than one adjective describing a noun? Is there any specific order? In English there is, yes! In the following table you’ll find a list that can help you when using two or more adjectives.

Session 4. We write
11. We want four pets to find a new home.
The rescue centre needs you because they want people to know the animals.
They gave you some information and asked you to write a short adoption post about each pet.
A) WE PLAN
What will we write?
The rescue centre will introduce the pets.
Why will we write?
There is a serious problem with abandoned pets. With their description people will know them and will learn to love them.
How will we write?
Our descriptions will follow this order:
-Name of the animal (Brutus, Suzie…)
-Kind of animal (dog, horse…) / Physical description / Animal’s character
-Habits and hobbies
What will we learn?
1. Animals should not be abandoned. People should adopt pets instead of buying them.
2. We use adjectives for describing.
B) WE WRITE
Jane, Louis and Mary are talking with their parents because they want to adopt an animal. Could you help the rescue centre to introduce the dog, rabbits and horse that are going to be adopted?
Each pair will prepare a description of one of the following pets. Remember you have to use different adjectives and when you use more than one in the same sentence, you have to be careful with order. For example, Brutus is a faithful young dog is right. Brutus is a young faithful dog is wrong.
You’ll write a draft that you’ll review later. Follow the order in the post you have to fill and check with the review table.
