Bill “Tigger” Kiger hails from the Kensington section of Philadelphia. He attended Ascension grade school before entering North in 1975. As a youth he began playing soccer for Kensington Ramblers Soccer Club.
At North Catholic Kiger became one of only 2 players in their long history of soccer prowess to be a Varsity player on 3 consecutive PCL & City Champions in 1977, 78 & 1979 (the other player is Bob Strohm). He was named All-Catholic and All-City at midfield after his senior campaign.
Tigger went on to an outstanding College Career at Drexel University where he was a four year player (1980 - 83) and joined forces with fellow Falcon star John Regan in 1980 & 81.
Bill Kiger lives in Northeast Philadelphia and is a proud member of the AOH division 87.
