Marc Eckert '88

(1970-2022)

As a junior fullback for North Catholic in 1986 Marc Eckert was named a 1^st team All-Catholic and a 2^nd Team Daily news All-City soccer player. He then became a 1^st Team All-Catholic & Daily News 1^st Team All-City Selection as a Defender after the 1987 season. Eckert was named an NSCAA Pennsylvania All-State Selection after the 1987 season as well.

Eckert went on to play College soccer for LaSalle University during the 1988 & 1989 seasons. He was named an All-MAAC selection (2^nd team) as well as the Co-rookie of the year after the 1988 season.

In 1999, alongside fellow Falcon stars Pat Morris & Danny Murtagh, Eckert played on a German Hungarian Men’s Club Soccer Squad that won the United States Amateur Soccer Associations “Open Cup Championship” by defeating the Milwaukee Bavarians by a score of 2-1 in St Louis MO.
