Kevin McGettigan, better known as “Max”, hails from the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia. Max was a 2 year starter at fullback for the Falcons 1980 and 1981 team. McGettigan was named All-Catholic after his senior season. Max went on to Drexel University playing with fellow Falcons Bobby Kane & Bill Kiger. He also played Club soccer with Juniata, Kensington ramblers & the Philadelphia Nationals.
After hanging up his cleats, Max picked up a whistle and coached teams at Juniata Boys Club, Penn Academy, FC Bayern and PSC Coppa. He was also an assistant coach at the high school level helping to guide Penn Charter school to success. He also came back to NC and helped the Falcons win 3 PCL titles. He was also on the staff at Roman when they won the PCL title in 2015.
