Richie Sheridan attended St Hugh’s Parish grade school and played his club soccer for the Lighthouse Boys Club before attending North Catholic. Sheridan was the leader of the talented 1970 Falcons team who defeated Cardinal Dougherty for the PCL title and tied Frankford for a share of the City Championship. Sheridan was an All-Catholic selection in 1970. Sheridan then played collegiate soccer for Philadelphia Textile U when the teams were ranked nationally in the 1970s.
Richie Sheridan is the brother of Eddie Sheridan making them the first brother combination to be elected into the NC Soccer Hall of Fame. Richie is also a member of the SE Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame since 2010.
